About CommonSpirit Health

CommonSpirit Health® is committed to building healthier communities, advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable, and innovating how and where healing can happen—both inside our hospitals and across our global community. The result of years of planning, CommonSpirit was created by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health in early 2019.

CommonSpirit Health is the largest not-for-profit health care system in the United States.

21-state network

Over 25,000 physicians and advanced care providers

150,000 employees

More than 700 care centers (accessible to nearly 1 in 4 U.S. residents)

In 2019, CommonSpirit provided care for 20 million patients. With a large geographic footprint representing diverse populations across the U.S., we are a leader in advancing the shift from sick care to well care, and more effectively advocating for the growing number of people who are poor and vulnerable.

Dignity Health
